The softness and stillness of this piece is reminiscent of the students I often see
sleeping, sprawled out on our library floors in between classes or seeking a recharge
after hours of study and homework. The library has been a safe place for people
to be quiet, contemplative, and to explore ideas. I hope they remain so.

Mushrooms of meaning growing out of and on a library forest! Love the symbiotic metaphor
of books and nature. Beautiful, fun and colorful juxtaposition of fiber arts and
written words.

Books are vehicles for information.. Creativity, art, objects, places, sometimes
the solitude of a library is often the beginning of what can be a loud awakening
in the same library. A library is much more than just books, spines and pages -
but a center of tools for discovery in many forms.
